"...Yes, covid has reduced road and air travel. And that hit demand for fuel. But those curbs are falling away now. Meanwhile, it will be a long time before electric cars take over. And even they need oil-fuelled power stations to keep the batteries topped up. My feeling is that the oil price of Shell [see article], to take just one example, will suddenly leap forward as big investors become aware that the high oil price will feed into huge profits which will only be known in future trading updates.
